Hi friends well we’re off on another great trip Montenegro , Istanbul , Ismir , Chios.

Flew Delta  https://delta.com to Amsterdam and then KLM to Istanbul to meet my sister at the airport to give her a bag of food and then off to Montenegro to see our great friend Friday Jones. World famous tattoo artist.  http://www.fridayjones.net/

On the Delta flight we took our own food pizza from Bigalora  http://bigalora.com/  great wood fired pizza, so I didn’t eat in the flight was great I slept the whole way and it was a little tight on time in Amsterdam so I didn’t grab any food figuring that food usually good wrong bad noodles sure wish I would’ve grabbed a salad    . Travel tip the planes in Europe have a really skinny center aisle so even our small carry-on wouldn’t roll . I recommend you have one with the four wheels so you can turn it sideways. I had to carry the thing all the way down the plane a couple times not fun.

Turkish Airlines up to Podgorica  Montenegro which is the capital. Turkish is a really great airline and the food was the best that we had even on the way back on all the flights.

Friday got us a private car to drive us to Tivat which is the Montenegrin Riviera where our friend Friday Jones lives in the house the only legal tattoo shop in Montenegro.  40 Euros for a 2hr ride 50E with tip.

Montenegro is insanely beautiful barley populated 600,000.  Tivat is where the super yachts are it was a whole bunch of over 100 foot yacht tied up tons of fancy restaurants tons of beautiful people all up and down the Riviera.

The water is so clear and so clean and so beautiful it’s hot out we went swimming at a private beach called Waikiki Beach. We swam in the Kotor bay which is off the Adriatic Sea. They had a killer Octopus salad. In fact we ate Octopus a lot because they know how to cook it.

Many great seafood restaurants all up and down coast line there a lots of great seafood meals you can see the pictures

One day we wrote a local bus down the Seaside Road to Kotor which is 1000-year-old walled city full of churches in walls now it’s a giant shopping mall with some nice restaurants.  The great thing about the coast road is in some places it’s too small for two cars. So the cars and the buses have to dance and they almost hit mirrors. There wasn’t much screaming like usual because this happens all the time and. everybody knows the drill

Violet got her friend Friday Jones to do a great tattoo,  see picture of it here, We had a wonderful time we’re doing back there.

A friend of Friday is named Igor and his girl Natasha and they’re developing condos. There are some great opportunities with some good margins to build some nice stuff we’re definitely going there next year to hang out on the Riviera again.

After four days we flew back to Istanbul to hang out with my sister and her family she lives in a great neighborhood Kurtlus it is by Taxim.

Today is the first day of a four-day national holiday Kurban Bayrami.  It’s to celebrate at Abraham‘s love for God when he was supposed to sacrifice his son and of last minute God change his mind and so they sacrifice sheep. In modern day they sacrifice the sheep or give donations to charity and if they sacrifice they give the meat away as a big sharing and have a big meal in honor of the holiday

Our 1st day we went to on hop on hop off bus both legs the blue and the red and rode it all over town. I recommend when you go to a new town to do this because they’ll will be many things that you will see.  Some of them that you know you want to see, You also figure out if you actually want to devote time to go see them and I’ve change my mind many times because of this tour and went to see different sights.

Then we went to the Blue Mosque  http://www.bluemosque.co/  which was packed for the holiday. Under  renovation so it’s hard to see the whole building and the famous dome is covered.   The blue tiles are still amazing after 500+ years . Then hung out in Sultanahmed where the Hagia Sophia is, we will go to tomorrow. https://ayasofyamuzesi.gov.tr/en

Istanbul in Turkey is an amazing place people are friendly and warm there’s many amazing sites to see old relics new stuff killer coastline and the food is amazing I recommend you visit here Since my sister lives here I’ve been coming here for 17 years I’ve always had a wonderful warm welcome and never had one problem.
